South Carolina Residential Lease Agreement Form – PDF Template
The South Carolina standard one (1) year lease agreement is for any tenant seeking to rent property and would like to have a binding agreement with a property owner. The form is a fill in the blanks format and after a landlord accepts the terms and conditions both parties may sign and enter into an unalterable deal.
It is recommended that the landlord review the tenant’s credentials through the rental application to ensure that he or she has the income and credit history to be qualified to make payments on time every month. The landlord may charge a fee for this service that is non-refundable.
- If the space being rented was built before 1978 the lead based paint disclosure form must accompany this agreement. It must be signed by the tenant to acknowledge receipt of the document.
- If either party has any questions about their rights they should read the State Laws – Chapter 40 – Residential Landlord and Tenant Act
