North Dakota Residential Lease Agreement Template – PDF – Word
The North Dakota residential lease agreement is a standard twelve (12) month term that is between a property owner (landlord) and a person looking to occupy the space (tenant). The monthly rental payment from the tenant to the landlord is usually due on the first (1st) of the month and it is recommended that the landlord screen every person through the rental application before authorizing a contract.
The most negotiated terms of any lease are;
- Monthly payment amount
- Who pays the utilities (electricity, water, heat, etc.)
- Length of agreement
- Security deposit
After the tenant has been approved, the agreement is signed and the required deposits are made, the keys and full access to the property shall be granted.
- If the structure was built prior to 1978, the tenant must be given the lead based paint disclosure to let them know about the toxic hazard.
