Hawaii Residential Lease Agreement – PDF Template
The Hawaii residential lease allows a person (tenant) to occupy property for a set period of time while paying monthly rent to the landlord. The standard time is twelve (12) months but may be any time as negotiated by the parties.
The landlord may request from the tenant to view his or her credit information upon signing such a contract to make sure that a eviction is not probable down the road. The application should be completed allowing the landlord to view any and all credit reports, employers (and previous), previous landlords, and any references that may be requested. Upon approval the tenant shall be issued a lease agreement immediately.
- If the residence being occupied was built prior to 1978, the landlord must include the lead based paint disclosure form in the contract.
