Connecticut Tenant-Landlord Rules
– The maximum a landlord may take for a Security Deposit is two (2) months’ rent for all applicants under the age of 62. If the person is over 62 it may only be one (1) months’ rent.
– The landlord must return all deposits within thirty (30) days of vacating, terminating, or the end of the lease agreement.
– The landlord must give the tenant “reasonable notice” before entering the property for any justification besides an emergency event.
